Sandra Maze’s paintings are inspired by the coastlines and countryside of County Down (Northern Ireland), and sea views on the Isle of Iona (Scotland). She works freely and enthusiastically, painting in her distinctive, impressionistic style. Flowers are a recurring subject and she paints these either in oil or watercolour, with an emotional response, involving energetic brush-strokes which express her love of flowers. Her work often invokes a sense of place and peace as she captures the essence of the subject in front of her.
