Alison Lowry's comment about this glass art piece - This work was created in 2015 for an installation in a disused bank vault in Bergen, Norway. Inspired by a postcard purchased in a charity shop I decided to recreate everything to do with this little girl and the message from her Auntie on the back that reads, 'Poor little girl, so sorry that you were disappointed. I didn’t think about you when I sent Laurie’s card. Love from Auntie’. I created a glass dress, glass shoes and this framed representation of the original postcard. It spoke of memory and the trace of a fleeting moment. Things that seem so important to the beholder at the time, but that eventually dissolve and disappear with the passing of time.
