Charlie Scott creates oil paintings inspired by the landscape in Co. Donegal. He does not attempt to reinterpret the landscape in its entirety but express it through a poetic consolidation of imagery. He considers oil painting as an excavation process, a medium in which one can unearth and recover fragments of memory.
