Ray Duncan
Ray Duncan has been a regular contributor to the Northern Ireland art scene for many years, as well as exhibiting internationally, His paintings are held in public collections (including of the Arts Council NI).
Duncan studied painting under John Luke and Terry Flanagan and taught Art and Design for over forty years. He was part of a studio group in Belfast the 1960s and has continued to play an active role in the arts scene in Belfast since then. With a group of artists in the 80s, in a response to a lack of local venues he ran a series of 'House Shows' in different artists’ houses in Belfast. He was the chair and the curator of the Ulster Arts Club Gallery, and one of the founders of the Creative Exchange Studios, where he is still based.
