Artist's commentary about this work: 'The second in a series of 3 editions created with handmade stencils and printed using an etching press. This composition started with the tree, a common motif in my work, and the figure and moon followed. I have always loved trees and nature and for me they represent something solid, fixed, like a landmark. The silhouette of a bare winter tree against the sky has always caught my eye with its intricate pattern of branches and lends itself well to a graphic rendering in print.' Judith Logan
