Karl Hagan

Karl Hagan allows for the image to reveal through layers of paint, the atrocities represented, which often figures within the work are dealing with. Depicting smoke and flames with thickly applied paint the viewers and these figures are situated in the moment of arrival into the aftermath of a great disaster.




Karl Hagan is emerging artist based in Queen Street Studios, Belfast. He obtained a Degree in Fine Art Painting from Ulster University in 2018. Soon after his graduation this university recognised his talent offering him a residency and purchasing one of his paintings for its permanent collection, and he was also awarded by the Royal Ulster Academy.
