Art News
Gallery 545 strives to celebrate contemporary art of Northern Ireland, and we have some exciting news for all those who want to discover and collect art of this region.
‘Contemporary Art of Northern Ireland #5’, Island Arts Centre, Lisburn, until 5 October – We are running our annual major showcase in collaboration with the Island Arts Centre, presenting over twenty accomplished artists, and a large and diverse art selection. Many visitors have come along, and the feedback has been tremendous.
Talk to the curator - As part of the initiatives accompanying this showcase Gallery 545’s Director & Curator Francesca Biondi is at the exhibition every Friday and Saturday afternoon to tell you more about the artists and the artworks.
Get creative – You can learn how to make your own glass works with multi-award-winning artist Alison Lowry. A two-day workshop on 5 and 12 October can be booked on the Island Arts Centre’s website.
